Places
Granada is one of the most beautiful cities in Spain with an extensive cultural heritage.
The Alhambra
The undisputed landmark of Granada and at the same time one of the most beautiful palaces in the world. For a visit to the Alhambra you should definitely take a few hours or all day. This stunning palace has simply captivated me completely. So much so that I have already dedicated an entire article to him.
Directly connected to the famous building is the Palacio de Generalife. So it is a good place to visit the two sights together. You’ve probably heard it a few times, but I also highly recommend you to buy your tickets for the Alhambra in advance. The rush is great, and since many tour groups also get their tickets weeks in advance, your chances of getting a ticket on site are not particularly high even in the low season.
The Arab Quarter of Albaicin
You can easily get here via Plaza Nueva, which is located in the centre of the city, right next to the historic old town district. Drink a tea in one of the cozy tea rooms or walk through the quaint craft shops in Albaican, here you won’t get bored so quickly! The alleys of the Arab Quarter have so much to offer and are just waiting to be explored by you. Of course, you will also find many bars and restaurants here, where you can get a little refreshment or refreshment.

Culinary Granada

In Spain, you rarely dine before 10 o’clock in the evening, so you have your peace in the early evening hours, while later the restaurants fill up a bit. Decide for yourself which atmosphere you prefer here. For traditional cuisine I recommend the restaurant Los Manueles, where you can inform yourself a bit about the local cuisine and also taste it. The sweet cats among you can certainly inspire here for a Tarta de Pionono as dessert, a cake made of sugar and egg. The little sweet tarts are a real specialty of Granada and also just delicious!
