The Mariquilla Flamenco School in Granada is undoubtedly one of the flamenco dance schools with the greatest international recognition. It also highlights the quality and experience of its teachers, who provide a great artistic enrichment to students. The bailaora Mariquilla, its founder, holds the first Professorship of Flamencology that has been established at the University of Granada.
The Mariquilla Dance School has achieved the first University Chair in this specialty.

This school is superbly located in the historic flamenco neighborhood, Sacromonte, in the Albicin de Granada. The Sacromonte neighborhood is known because its houses have been built in “caves”, as is the case with this school, whose caves are perfectly equipped and soundproofed. The school has been in operation for 35 years and combines experience, quality and passion for flamenco. It is one of the few schools that uses live guitar and singing.
